Once a week I meet about 7 or 8 high school guys for "man breakfast" at the North Star Restaurant in Buchanan, VA. North Star really is a place like no other. I wish I could take you all there for breakfast sometime just so you can see all the "regulars" who sit at their regular tables every morning drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. It's amazing to me that there are people out there who can have 3 cups of coffee and 5 to 6 cigarettes before 8 in the morning. These people do exist, and they hang out at North Star. This morning, a man walked in wearing an all denim outfit. He had on some nice jean shorts with a brown leather belt that he had obviously made himself (I know he made it himself because it had his name burned into it). There was a denim shirt tucked into said shorts. He was wearing some black boots with a little bit of white sock sticking out of the top. There was a pouch of Levi Garrett sticking out of his shirt pocket (if you don't know what Levi Garrett is, check out the picture to the right), and he was wearing a mesh backed all black trucker hat that sat so high up on his head, I'm not really sure how it didn't fall off.

Anyways, this morning was a typical North Star morning. Me and the guys sitting around, talking about high school sports, eating our ridiculously greasy breakfasts, and laughing at all the "regulars." Just as we were about to leave, a larger fella walked in and sat at the table nearest us. I looked over at one of the guys and said, "now that's the real deal." I was referring to the man's braided rat-tail. I'm not sure that I've really seen anything like this on a man over the age of 8. But there it was, in all its glory, right in front of us. And wouldn't you know it, he sat down with his back facing me. I have to chalk that one up to the sovereignty of our Lord. God must have known that I needed to take a picture of this man's rat-tail for the blog. So now we finally get to the point of this blog. That point being these pictures:
